Introduction
RTBF aims first and foremost to provide added value in both content and delivery format. This added value may take the form of personalized recommendations or services aimed at improving the accessibility of our content.
To achieve this goal and improve your experience, RTBF is committed to collecting only necessary information.
Our public service mission
RTBF's missions are based on universality, independence, pursuit of excellence, diversity, transparency, and innovation. We are particularly concerned that you have access to the content you desire and that enriching, new, and interesting content can be offered to expand your discoveries.
In this context, certain technological devices have become levers that RTBF intends to use to fulfill its mission and further satisfy you.
Algorithms, for example, allow us to recommend content tailored to your interests, reading, viewing or listening habits. These recommendations represent an important step forward that allows us to improve the quality of our offering and the service we provide. However, when implementing these complex devices, we ensure that you are at the center of our concerns and offer you a varied choice of content. We do not limit this content to your consumption habits and strive to offer you different content that is likely to sharpen your curiosity, make you discover the diversity of society and creators, and open you up to new horizons.
The implementation of innovative technologies to fulfill our mission is determined by the promotion of our values. We want, in particular, to be part of our time by using the latest technologies to federate and connect our audiences, but also to reach the largest number of people and allow everyone to enjoy quality content marked by the seal of independence.
Our intentions
RTBF aims first and foremost to provide added value in both content and delivery format. This added value may take the form of personalized recommendations or services aimed at improving the accessibility of our content.
To achieve this goal and improve your experience, RTBF is committed to collecting only necessary information.
Transparency
The purpose of this section is to inform you about the information we collect, the places where this collection takes place, and the purposes we pursue.
Any internet browsing is likely to leave traces. Various technical devices exist that allow website managers to analyze and measure traffic. These devices are classified into different categories depending on their purpose. Some have a purely technical purpose (such as establishing the connection between your computer and the one hosting the website); others allow us to analyze traffic on our sites (such as the most viewed pages).
This personalization is done through your registration on our sites and the communication of some basic information. We give you the possibility at any time to modify the information you have provided to us, to adapt your preferences (for example by modifying your subscriptions to our newsletters), or even to completely delete your information from our servers.
Security
The security of your data is an essential value of our digital strategy. We put everything in place so that you can transmit data to us with confidence. To this end, we process data in compliance with the strictest standards currently in force.

The data controller (RTBF) pays particular attention to the protection of privacy and therefore undertakes to take reasonable precautions to protect personal data collected against loss, theft, disclosure or unauthorized use.
