Pitch

Each episode tells the incredible story of a historic site as well as the (sometimes intimate) anecdotes of those who lived there. It can be about castles, abbeys, palaces, monuments, or witnesses to the industrial history of our regions. As he journeys through these places, Patrick Weber has the extraordinary opportunity to meet the women and men who are at the forefront of defending our heritage. These "guardians" are guides, archaeologists, enthusiasts, or owners of prestigious or intimate places.

Episode 1: At the heart of Gallery of Kings

It's a unique place. Elegant galleries dedicated to leisurely strolls, entertainment, fine dining, and what was not yet called shopping. You may think you know them, but I will reveal their secrets to you and introduce you to the ghosts that haunt these places.

Episode 2: Beloeil and its princes: The secrets of our little Versailles

It's a story that dates back eight centuries! Many have nicknamed it our Belgian Versailles. It was notably the refuge of an adventurous prince, friend of Casanova, Marie-Antoinette, and Empress Catherine II of Russia. But the Beloeil Castle is far from having revealed all its secrets.

Episode 3: Palace of the Court of Audit

If you occasionally visit Brussels, you have certainly passed by this vast mansion. A mansion? It's actually a palace with a rich history and it's where the most popular of the Belgian kings was born.

Episode 4: Gertrude and the Ladies of Nivelles

Let's be honest, history is too often male-dominated... So when we encounter women who have left their mark from the early Middle Ages to the present day on the history of a city, we are eager to uncover their secrets. We are in Nivelles, at the foot of the Collegiate Church. A gem of our heritage.

Episode 5: Royal Opera of Wallonia

Patrick Weber takes you on a journey to discover the heritage of Wallonia and Brussels like you've never seen before! He unveils places that are sometimes secret, occasionally closed, or not fully open to the public. Luckily, he has the keys! Follow the guide...

In each episode, Patrick Weber recounts the incredible history of a historical site along with the anecdotes, sometimes intimate, of those who have lived there.

These places can be castles, abbeys, palaces, monuments, or witnesses to the industrial history of our regions. During his travels, Patrick meets extraordinary men and women who are at the forefront of defending our heritage. These "guardians" are guides, archaeologists, enthusiasts, or owners of prestigious or intimate places.

Sometimes, Patrick will also compare two seemingly opposite places that have similarities: a castle and a farm-castle, an ancient church and an art deco church, two architect-designed houses, and so on.

The first episode of "J'ai les clés" will focus on the Royal Opera of Wallonia. An opportunity to pay tribute to its general and artistic director, Stefano Mazzonis di Pralafera, who passed away last February.

The following 5 episodes will punctuate the programming of the coming weeks and will take us to discover the Belgian Senate, the Grand Hornu, the farm of the Château de Laneffe, the Château de Modave, and the Solvay Hotel.

Each episode will be illustrated by footage filmed by a champion of sports drone piloting, providing breathtaking views of the visited locations. You will never see your heritage in the same way again!

It evokes a long ...

Episode 8: Le Château Laneffe Farm

How about a return to the Middle Ages? Times are uncertain, and the state isn't always there to defend its people. As a result, there's no choice but to fortify against enemies. And it's not just fortified castles, but also mills, bridges, religious buildings and farms. An example of one of these farm-castles? We're in Walcourt, and more precisely ...
